3k3y: “Universal” daughterboard for 25xx/3xxx/4xxx models finished!
It is now now in production and will be available in about 2 weeks. This means that 3k3y will support ALL SATA (Slim and Super Slim models) using only 2 daughterboards – one solder free for 200x/210x models and one for *all* other models!

[2013-08-29]: New iSOTools and Ripp3r Manuals online!
To avoid confusion between the Ripp3r hardware (which is only necessary for creating ISOs from original game disks) and the software (which is the Swiss army knife of PS# ISO rengeneration and management) we have labeled the software iSOTools. Enjoy! Manuals are in the Resources section.

This version are currently selling will feature the Sata 3k3y + adapter board for the PS3 Super Slim 400x models.
It will NOT work on 300x, 250x and 200x models yet, A seperate adapter board will be needed for that, and we will sell that as a seperate package when it is available
The last important bit of information is that the Super Slim models do not have a DVD drive as a seperate devicelike the old Phat Ps3s. The laser is connected DIRECTLY to the motherboard, and the DVD drive exists as part of the main board. This means that to connect the 3k3y Sata to the main board you NEED TO SOLDER the adapter board to it. This is NOT a solderless solution like the 3k3y is for the Phats and 200x models.
There are 11 solder small solder points. 8 as for the Sata connection, 1 for the Cover switch, 1 for GND, and 1 for POWER. The 8 sata points will be Quick Solderwhich makes it easy for installs, but easy for noobs that have no idea how to solder to make a mess of their board. Pleaseif you do not know how to solder, or cannot get someone to do it for you please do NOT attempt to do this yourself.
The 3k3y is an optical drive Emulator for the PS3 console. Whatever you can play via Disc. Also allows SOME hoembrew to work via disc. Not all homebew works at the moment (usually homebrew that require System calls)
These are not KEY-LESS’ devices, they work on OFW, not need for CFW!

Once the device is installed. You can remove CFW if you wish, and be on OFW so you can update your console freely, and be online.

The 3k3y is a DVD drive emulator. This means that whatever you can run via Disc on your ps3 console, you can run as an ISO on your harddrive. One great feature we have been playing with is the ability to maniulate certain ISOs after they have been dumped to make them region free. This can be done with Blu Ray Movies using AnyDVD HD. You can also do this to PSX (Play Station 1 games), change the region on the ISO to achieve region free gaming on your console.
